THE CALL TO
DREAM
If you are reading this, you likely know by now that colonial paradigms will never offer a well-healed life. You also know that the world needs what you have to give, Now. You are ready: with voice, with art, with leadership, with Vision, and together with others who feel this way, you will not ignore the medicine that brings power to back to you and to your People. Your peoples. Across all times.
There's a determination to do it. To forge forward. And yet, the tiredness is there, too. The weariness and the despair.
Rather than suggesting that you should "ignore" this dear one, or somehow get around it, the invitation we are extending is to use the exhaustion as a portal to the Dreamtime. At night, during the day, whenever you sleep, invite your dreams to awaken and meet you. The invitation we extend to you is to add your dreams to your liberation practice in a real way, a big way.
Learn your dreams. Study them. Understand their connection to your waking life, your relations, your kin, your lovers, all Beings. Become the Master and the Mother/Father of your Dreams. For your Dreams are You.
And they are Us.
When we dream, we access realms beyond our conscious understanding. We access the otherwise: we touch the unprecedented in parts of our consciousness that our ancestors want us to remember so that we can be free.
And what if these dreams weren't just personal messages, but gateways to *collective* wisdom? What if, when we gather together, we convene not just for our own understanding, but to see how we, all of Us, are already touching the radical existence we want to make in the world?
without having to work harder to do it?
When we belittle or dismiss our Dreams as impractical, or too impossible for the “real world” we dishonor our ancestors and their ways of knowing We abandon them for what we consider to be “the real world” which is really the colonial fiction. The colonial fiction was never built to serve us, to nourish us–it was not built with our thriving in mind, rather our demise, our fragmentation, and our forgetting.
With this truth, dear one, is dreaming impractical? Naive? Too esoteric or navel-gazy?
:: Consider the dreams of your ancestors that dreamed you here–every gift, blessing, fortune, and possibility has been put into place by their prayers, dreams, and intentions.
:: Consider that you have the same ability to dream a world; that you enter a cosmic school every evening where you can time-travel, heal ancestral wounds, meet aspects of yourself that lurk in hiding during your daily life, and awaken to answers and solutions unavailable to the logos-driven conscious mind.
:: Consider that the model of the atom, the periodic table, and even the scientific method was taught in a dream.
:: Consider that life is a dream, and the better you can wield power (responsibly) in your dreams, the more influence you can have in the material world.
:: Consider that, truly, everything is possible.
